BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Information Communication Technology at Appleby Heritage Centre

Course description

BTEC diplomas provide a practical insight into the workings of real businesses and the secrets of their success.  A BTEC diploma is an ideal qualification for those looking to secure a job within a service or retail sector, or indeed for those looking to study at a university.

Course content

Students will study modules in:

  • Using ICT to present information
  • Computer systems
  • Website development/management
  • Networking essentials
  • Business and management Information Systems
  • Software design and development
  • Database

Entry requirements

Students will need to have achieved GCSE's at grades D-G or equivalent.  Students can progress from Level 2 to Level 3.  To study Level 3 students should have 4 GCSE's at A*-C.

A Level 2 BTEC diploma is equivalent to 4 GCSE's at A*-C grade.
