Applied Science Level 3 Certificate / Extended Certificate at Balcarras School

Course description

This is a vocational course that covers strands from biology, chemistry and physics with a focus on practical science and topical issues in science.

This course would work particularly well with health and social care, creative media, psychology or A-level PE.

Course content

In Year 12 learners will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding of the key concepts across all three sciences, practise experimental scientific techniques and explore the ways in which scientific information is presented by the media.
