ICT at Branston Community Academy
The course provides opportunities not only to develop increasingly important ICT skills and understanding, but also fosters other necessary vocational skills, e.g. independence, research, presentational and organisational skills.
Units to be studied: ICT skills for business, Webpage creation, Multimedia Presentation, Spreadsheet design and use, Technological Innovation and e-commerce, Creating computer graphics for the WWW, Creating animations for the WWW.
At least 4 GCSE's Grades D-G, including Maths and English. A keen interest in the course. It is preferable for students to have access to a computer at home with use of the Microsoft Office Suite of programmes (including MS Access) preferably Office Professional 2003. A USB pen-drive would be a very useful device to allow transport of work to and from the Academy.
