Health & Social Care (Single & Double) BTEC Level 3 at East Norfolk Sixth Form College

Course description

You will develop skills required within the health and social care sector for a number of areas including child, youth, adult and health care. The course will also help you to identify your own aptitudes and understandings about the working practices of a number of areas within health and social care.

The course can be taken as either 1 or 2 blocks of study so can be combined with other A-level or GCSE courses.

Course content

You will study the relevant theory and then complete project work or written examinations in several areas, such as:

  • Human Lifespan Development
  • Working in Health & Social Care
  • Care and Support Planning in Health & Social Care Practice
  • Anatomy & Physiology
  • Enquiries into Current Research in Health & Social Care

Entry requirements

Grade C in GCSE English Language. Grade C is preferred in GCSE Science (Core) or study at college alongside this subject.


Awarding Body – Edexcel

Assessment is examination and coursework assessment based.
