BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Sport at Stanborough School

Course description

The BTEC National Subsidiary Diploma in Sport is equivalent to one ‘A’ level and is studied for the duration of two years. You will follow a number of units of work which will include Principles of Anatomy and Physiology in Sport, The Physiology of Fitness, Assessing Risk in Sport, Fitness Testing for Sport and Exercise and Specialist Units. You will experience many areas of the Sports Industry from coaching and leading activities in local primary schools to experiencing what it would be like to run a Sports Centre. You will also get the opportunity to follow two practical sport aspects. The BTEC National Subsidiary Diploma in Sport will open many doors which include points towards university places and jobs in the Sports Industry such as Sports Development Officer, Leisure Centre Manager, Retail and Physiotherapy

Entry requirements

APS 38.5 if the majority of subjects studied are BTECs. A successful interview.
