Engineering Diploma level 2 at Weston College

Course description

This course is for students that are looking for a career in Engineering with opportunities to progress onto an apprenticeship programme. This course is focussed around workshop skills activities based in our new Engineering workshop and supported with classroom knowledge sessions associated with the world of engineering.

Course content

You will cover a variety of Engineering units including:

  • Pneumatics
  • Hydraulics
  • Computer aided design
  • Machining
  • Turning & Milling
  • Composites

Successful completion of this course can lead to the level 3 Engineering Diploma, an Apprenticeship with an Engineering company or Employment within the Engineering sector.

Entry requirements

Applicants will need 4 x GCSE C grades, demonstrate that they are working at or above level 2 in English and maths and show a desire to explore the World of Engineering. A positive reference from school will support any application
