Course description

Elite Training Systems Yorkshire (ETSY) is a training provider that offers a range of vocational courses as well as delivering PSD and Functional Skills in English and Maths.

We have an excellent track record of results and our learners have stayed on with us for the next level quaification,progressed on to further education at college , apprenticeships or employment.

Our centre at Wakefield is situated on Silcoates street and is 15 mins walk from Wakefield bus station. Alternatively you can catch the 115 bus from Stand 6 at  Wakefield Bus Station which stops directly outside the centre.


Course content

Engagement and Enrolment:

Enrolment paperwork,Command tasks, Self Assessment, team building activities and car design project.

IMI E3 Award in Introduction to Vehicle Technology 501/0549/8

IMI E3 Certificate in Introduction to Vehicle Technoogy 501/0590/5

Functional Skills E1-L1 English and Maths

Construction units:

Decorating Houshold goods  Developing Home Improvement Skills Starting Work in Construction

Enrichment sessions


Course Days: Monday Wednesday Friday

Course times: 9am - 3pm

Entry requirements

Achieved less than 5 GCSE A*-C including Maths and English

*Depending on personal circumstances if you have achieved 5 GCSE or more including Maths and Englsih allowances can be made to join the programme.

Aged between 16-18


Initial assessment in English and Maths completed at start of programme to see what level you are working at.

Assessment in English and Maths completed at end of programme to look at progress and achievement achieved during the course.

Financial information


This is avaialable dependant on home and personal circumstances. You need to have your own bank account if you apply for bursary

Free Meals

If you qualify for free meals you will be paid a weekly amount into your bamk so you can purchase your lunch. You need your own bank account to be able to recieve this support

Bus Fares

You will be able to complete a form so you  can go and get a half fare bus pass.

On completion of the programme you can:

Stay on with us to do the L1 Certificate in Vehicle Maintenance

Progress on to another L1 course at college or training provider

Progress on to an apprenticeship

Progress on to employment with training.
