Psychology 'A' Level. A successful course with good outcomes for students.

Course content

Unit 1 PSY1:

Biological, Behavioural, Cognitive & Psychodynamic approaches.

Unit 2 PSY 2:

10 core studies in the field of psychology + research methods.

 

 

Entry requirements

No specific learning is required for this course but an average grade C  at GCSE is essential. English and Mathematics must be a grade B. 

This course will interest anyone who is trying to understand the nature of the mind and behaviour, and applying this knowledge in the many fields of human interaction.

Assessment

Written assessment in May 1.15 hours. Candidates answer 5 compulsory questions based on approaches to Psychology.

Written assessment in May 1.75 hours.6 compulsory questions based on the 10 core studies. Short answer section on Research Methods.
