Trowel Occupations Intermediate Apprenticeship Level 2 at New College Stamford

Course description

Build your career in bricklaying, gaining real life industry experience with an Apprenticeship. You will study: general workplace safety; setting masonry structures; erecting masonry structures; and erecting thin joint masonry structures. You may also need to study Functional Skills Maths and English Level 1, Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) and Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) units to successfully complete your training.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but your previous skills and experience will be considered upon application.

Financial information

16 – 18 years – Course 100% funded19 – 23 years – No contribution is required at this moment in time.(employers may wish to help towards the costs)24+ years – Not funded. Course costs payable by employer/individual but loans may be available through the 24+ Advanced Learning Loan scheme.

Future opportunities

Trowel occupations advanced apprenticeship level 3 and employment in roles such as Site Supervisor, Lead Hand Joiner, Trade Foreman or run your own business.
