Agriculture Level 3 Extended Diploma at Berkshire College of Agriculture

Course description

This two year programme builds on the skills developed on the Level 2 Diploma in Agriculture and supports progression onto higher education and managerial roles within the sector.

Entry requirements

A minimum of five GCSEs at C or above, to ideally include maths, English and science OR Level 2 Diploma at an overall ‘Merit’ in Agriculture or Animal Management with Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English PLUS an acceptable tutor reference.

Future opportunities

Upon completion, students will be eligible to enter into many roles within the agricultural industry, access Apprenticeships or to further their studies by progressing on to Higher Education at other institutions.

Guidance will be given to students on the different options; BSc (Hons), FdSc and HND.

*There are options for learners to study a 1 year 60 credit subsidiary diploma or 90 credit diploma qualification.

Further information

All full-time students, aged between 16-18, will study GCSE or Functional Skills in Maths and English, if they don’t already hold an A*- C level GCSE in the subject. This is an integral part of their vocational study programme at BCA. Students over 19 are also encouraged to refresh and accredit their skills alongside vocational study.
