Course Details

You will study the following subjects:

  • Health and Safety.
  • Plumbing Science.
  • Plumbing Process.
  • Cold Water.
  • Hot Water.
  • Heating Systems.
  • Above Ground Drainage Systems.
  • Environmental Awareness.

A Course for

The course is intended for those that want to gain basic skills and knowledge in order to gain entry into the plumbing industry. They are also suitable for those that want to equip themselves with advanced plumbing knowledge and skills.


Entry requirements

You will be required to attend an informal interview and complete an aptitude test. Early application is recommended due to the popularity of these courses.


Units are internally assessed either through:

  • Coursework
  • Multiple choice examination
  • Portfolio of evidence
  • Practical demonstration/assessment

Financial information

You will be required to wear appropriate protective equipment in the workshops including safety boots and overalls.

Future opportunities

Level 3 6035 in Plumbing Studies, vocational training or an Apprenticeship within the plumbing industry.
