Independent Living - Entry Level 2 at Harrow College
This course is aimed at learners working towards Entry Level 2, including those with learning difficulties and disabilities, who want to develop a range of personal and interpersonal skills.
All students have an Individual Learning Plan with personalised targets that will be set and monitored in discussion with the learners at regular Tutorial sessions.
The course is for learners wishing to increase their measure of independence; developing a number of adult living skills and skills to improve employability. A number of vocational topics are introduced such as IT, Business Enterprise and Leisure. Functional Skills in English and Maths will form an integral part of this programme to assist the learner to progress.
Classroom based practical activities, individual and group tasks focusing on students becoming as independent as possible.
No formal entry requirements, but you will need to attend an initial interview and assessment to check you are working at an appropriate level.
Units are assessed internally, through the building of a portfolio of evidence.

Normally to a higher level Entry qualification such as the BTEC Extended Certificate in Vocational Studies at Entry 3.
