Course description

The City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools is ideal if you have significant experience as a school support worker and wish to move into a more specialised role - in administration, learning support and management.

Course content

Support learning activities, Promote equality, diversity and inclusion in work with children and young people, Support assessment for learning, Supporting learning, English as an additional language, Special educational needs, Providing pastoral support, Supporting the wide work of the school, Working with colleagues.

To achieve the Level 3, you must complete both mandatory and optional units. On completion of these qualifications, you can gain a role supporting staff in schools. This qualification can be funded via an apprenticeship or if you are eligible, via the Government’s 24+ Learning loan.
