Dental Nursing (Oral Health Care) Level 3 Apprenticeship at Bradford College

Course description

By working a minimum of 30 hours per week in a Dental Surgery, you will soon become expert in essential parts of the job including: assisting the dentist, caring for patients, sterilising instruments and managing the reception desk.

You could go on to become a Dental Therapist, Hygienist or Radiographer on completion of this programme.

Course content

The course comprises: Scientific Principles in the Management of Oral Health Diseases & Dental Procedures, Provide Chairside Support During the Assessment of Patients' Oral Health, Prepare & Maintain Environments, Instruments & Equipment For Clinical Dental Procedures, Dental Radiography, Reflect On & Develop Your Practice, Provide Chairside Support During the Provision of Fixed & Removable Prostheses, Ensure Your Own Actions Reduce Risks to Health & Safety and Emergency First Aid Skills.

Entry requirements

GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade A-C or Level 1 on the Literacy and Numeracy BKSB screening.
