Engineering BTEC National Subsidiary Diploma at Plume College

Course description

The BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Engineering have been developed to focus on:

 Motivating learners via applied learning and assessment

 BTEC qualifications are recognised by employers and education institutions

 Providing a good progression route to more advanced qualifications

 Giving learners the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised vocationally specific qualification, to enter employment in the engineering sector or to progress to higher education

 Giving learners the opportunity to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal skills and attitudes essential for successful performance in working life.

Students who have achieved a Merit or above at BTEC First Certificate in Engineering together with a C or above in English, Mathematics and Science would do well on this course.

Entry requirements

GCSE grades C or above in English, Mathematics, Science and aMerit or higher in BTEC First Certificate of Engineering.
