AS and A2 level: Law at Casterton College Rutland
Why study Law? A lot of careers benefit from a working knowledge of the law. It is a fascinating subject and whether used as part of preparation for higher education or employment, the study of law helps you to understand the world around you. What will I study? In year 12 you look at law making, dispute solving and the concept of liability which leads on in year 13 to criminal law. How will I study? You will learn about the key concepts and lots of case studies through discussions and written assignments. Law is demanding but very rewarding.
C in English required. C in Maths required.
Progression Apart from university courses in Law itself, lots of careers involve knowledge of the law such as the police, civil service and business.
