Course content

This is a vocational course over one year which is equivalent of 2 GCSEs grade C or above.  The course is all coursework based and has two core and one optional unit.The BTEC Firsts in Travel and Tourism have been developed in the travel and tourism sector to focus on: education and training for travel and tourism employeesproviding opportunities for travel and tourism employees to achieve a nationally recognised Level 2 vocationally specific qualificationproviding opportunities for learners to gain a nationally recognised vocationally specific qualification to enter employment in the travel and tourism sector or to progress to higher vocational qualifications such as the Edexcel Level 3 BTEC National in Travel and Tourism or the Edexcel Level 3 BTEC National in Airline and Airport Operationsproviding opportunities for learners to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in working life.
