Course description

The field of engineering offers a range of career opportunities. Students are able to choose one of three engineering disciplines; mechanical, electrical or automotive. Learners benefit from industry standard, state-of-the-art computerised equipment. Our qualified staff provide professional training in the latest automotive and motorcycle technologies, particularly in electronics.

Motorcycle construction and routine maintenance
Operating principles of motorcycle engines
Electrical and electronic systems
Assembling new motorcycles

Entry requirements

Level 1 Motorcycle Diploma
4 GCSEs at Grade D or above including English and Maths
Interview and assessment


Practical assessments in the workshop
Written assessment
Online tests

Future opportunities

Progression to a Level 3 Motorcycle Diploma, an Advanced Apprenticeship or employment.
