Further Mathematics AS/A Level at Bow School

Course description

Further Mathematics is for those that really want to challenge their mathematical ability. Taken alongside Mathematics, Further Maths build upon the skills and topics learned in Mathematics. Students should study Further Mathematics if they have a strong interest in Mathematics and plan on studying Mathematics or a Mathematics related course such as Engineering or Physics in the future.

Course content

Year 12 - Further Pure 1, Statistics 1, Statistics 2

Year 13 - Further Pure 2, Further Pure 3, Decision 2

Entry requirements

A minimum of a Grade A in Maths GCSE, but preferably a Grade A*, in addition to five A* - C grades, including English and Maths.

Equipment: Students will need to purchase a scientific calculator.
