Course content

Course description
Students will:
Understand the ways in which philosophers have analysed the core concepts of philosophy.
Understand the main philosophical arguments within topics.
Understand the philosophical claims which are made within each topic.
Understand the similarities and differences between the forms of reasoning used in different philosophical content areas.
Generate responses using appropriate philosophical formats, to a range of philosophical
questions.

Entry requirements

5 GCSE’s at A*-C or (9 – 5) including minimum of 6 in English. This subject particularly compliments A levels in history, English Language and English Literature.

Future opportunities

Possible progression routes – It could lead to numerous university courses including theology. philosophy, politics and economics.
