Brickwork Level 2 Apprenticeship at ACE Training

Course description

Brickwork is a traditional trade that’s in demand. There is a shortage of qualified bricklayers in Oxfordshire and Construction Skills predict that in the next 3 years construction demands nationwide will return to pre-recession levels. This means brickwork learners are needed more than ever, and at ACE we have a regular supply of employers looking to take on new Brickwork Apprentices.

Course content

Apprenticeships are a mix of work and learning whilst getting paid a wage. You will work on site for 4 days and attend ACE 1 day per week. The Apprenticeship usually takes 18-24 months to complete.

Learn to build brick and block walls, cavity walls including window and door openings, setting out of structures, laying drains, concreting, health and safety on site, communication and organisational procedures at work, storing and moving materials safely, and understanding information plans and drawings.

You will work towards an NVQ Diploma Level 2 in Bricklaying, Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying, Functional Skills Level 1 in English and Maths andEmployment Rights and Responsibilities.
