Psychology AS/A2 Level at Haven High Academy

Course description

Do you know why we behave as we do? On this course you will develop an understanding of different areas of Psychology, and of ethical issues. Studying human behaviour will enable you to have a better understanding of how people think and behave in the way they do. You will discuss issues such as how an early childhood experience might affect us in later life. You will look at a wider range of topics and increase your understanding of human behaviour.

There are a wide range of key areas of study including: * Biological psychology * Social psychology * Cognitive psychology * Research methods You will also develop your critical thinking, research and evaluating skills.

Entry requirements

A minimum Grade B in English and Maths

Future opportunities

The skills developed in this qualification mean that it is highly valued by universities and in a broad range of careers including clinical and educational psychology, forensic psychology, the police, health and sports careers and management.
