This should be seen as being complementary to the literal, mathematical and scientifically based subject areas and is especially concerned with the development of those complex processes involved in visual perception and aesthetic experience.

Course content

Art provides opportunities for personal expression, encourages imagination, sensitivity, conceptual thinking and develops your powers of analysis. Through both critical and contextual studies and the development of practical skills, the course should lead to a fuller understanding of the importance of Art in the history of human development.
