Advanced Apprenticeship in Hairdressing at Interserve Learning & Employment Birmingham
This is a vocational, work-based course which allows you to earn while you learn. It is ideal if you want to gain valuable work experience and training within a hairdressing environment and gain a nationally recognised qualification.
The Hairdressing Apprenticeship is made up of three key elements:
A National Vocational Qualification (NVQ), a Technical Certificate and Key Skills.
The course content covers the following subject areas:
Shampooing and conditioning
Assisting with colouring
Consultations with clients
Selling hair care products.
An NVQ2 or equivalent is Hairdressing is required to begin this programme along with experience in a hair salon. It is essential that you can demonstrate the ability to achieve Level2 Application of Number and Communications as this is a compulsory part of the framework. GCSEgrades A-Cin Maths and English Language or equivalent are advantageous as evidence of this will exempt you from sitting the key skills tests.
This is a full-time, permanent work-based Apprenticeship in Hairdressing. You enjoy on-the-job training towards nationally recognised qualifications at Levels 2 and 3, guided by our professional assessors who provide one-to-one support and advice throughout your programme.
This apprenticeship is fully funded by the government providing you are employed as an apprentice and working for a minimum of 30 hours per week.
After completing your Advanced Apprenticeship, you may wish to progress onto a Higher Apprenticeship or Salon Management course.
You will be given a maximum of 17 months in order to complete this programme.
