Course description

Train in the workplace to achieve your practical skills whilst gaining real life experiences alongside your employer. You will study:Environmental protectionHot and cold water systemsCentral heating systemsRainwater systemsAbove ground drainage.You may also need to study Functional Skills Maths, English and ICT Level 1, Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) and Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) units to successfully complete your training.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but your previous skills and experience will be considered upon application.

Assessment

Some attendance at college may be required and an Assessor will also visit you in the workplace to carry out practical assessments and monitor your progress.

Financial information

16 – 18 years – Course 100% funded19 – 23 years – No contribution is required at this moment in time.(employers may wish to help towards the costs)24+ years – Not funded. Course costs payable by employer/individual but loans may be available through the 24+ Advanced Learning Loan scheme.
