Geography GCSE AQA 3033 at Sandown Bay Academy

Course description

The main aim of Geography is to teach studentst about the world we live in. There are three broad strands where you will be studying Managing Change in the Human Environment; Managing the Physical Environment; Managing Economic Development. Within these strands are four specific topics. There are also plenty of fieldwork opportunities. Assessment is through 2 written papers which account for 75% and coursework accounting for 25% of the overall mark. 75% Exam;25% Coursework

Future opportunities

You could take this course to prepare for advanced level courses such as an A/AS Level in Geography or you may need to strengthen your grades by completing a foundation or intermediate vocational qualification. With further training, you could go into a job related to geography such as a Weather Forecaster, Teacher or Travel Agent You could also go straight into employment and do further training or part time study with the support of your employer.
