Plastering Diploma Level 1 at Bradford College

Course description

This course is for you if you have achieved GCSE Grade 3 or Functional Skills Level 2 in mathematics and GCSE Grade 2 or Functional Level 1 in English.

The course will allow you to learn, develop and practise the basic skills and knowledge required to enter the construction industry. It has been specially developed for delivery in a training environment using simulated conditions.

Course content

The course comprises the following units:

  • Introduction to Health and Safety in Construction
  • Introduction to the Construction Industry
  • Practical Skills for the Trade
  • Job Knowledge for the Trade.

Entry requirements

GCSE Grade 3 or Functional Skills Level 2 in mathematics and GCSE Grade 2 or Functional Skills Level 1 in English or will have achieved the Level 1 Extended Certificate (Trowel Trades).

You will also attend an information/taster session and you should show enthusiasm, commitment and a desire to succeed on the course.

Assessment

The course is assessed by continuous practical assessments and knowledge based assessments for each unit. There will also be two on-line exams.
