Course description

An IT Apprentice plays an important role within a business or organisation, without IT support to maintain and update systems, businesses would be less productive.

Course content

As an IT Apprentice, your exact duties will depend on your employer. It’s likely that you’ll be working within a team and handling various tasks. You may be helping colleagues to use programmes more efficiently or maintaining IT systems and networks, or carrying out system upgrades etc. This sort of work requires a strong interest in IT, accuracy and attention to detail.

Entry requirements

Employed in, or interested in, a career in IT; Hold or expect to achieve 5 good GCSE passes at Grade C and above (or equivalent), or have relevant experience; Comfortable with using modern technology (reasonable IT skills etc); Interested in providing a service for customers; Prepared to work hard to achieve success; Keen to achieve further qualifications.
