Music Technology Rockschool Level 3 Extended Diploma at Epping Forest College
Our Rockschool level 3 in Music Technology helps you to develop the skills needed to work within the sound/music and broadcasting/film industry plus prepare for university courses in music/music technology related subjects. If you are an active music technologist, or are interested in developing recording, sequencing and production techniques, then this study programme will equip you with industry standard skills and knowledge. It is designed to prepare you for the next step to university or working life within a creative and competitive industry.
Students will work individually on Macs and on Logic X. In groups you will master & record and work and support in live sound.
A wide range of music technology related themes will be studied including: music production techniques and audio engineering principles; planning and delivering a music product; music sequencing; sound for the moving image and sound creation and much more.
English and Maths are required life skills. As part of your study programme we will support you towards an A*–C grade at GCSE English and Maths. If you’ve already got these grades, we will work with you to develop your skills further.
As part of your study programme you will be given the opportunity to build skills required for employment through workshops and will be expected to undertake work experience with local businesses, councils or voluntary organisations.
5 GCSEs at A*–C including English Language. OR Merit or Distinction at an appropriate Level 2 Diploma including English Language at grade A*–C.
Through a mixture of coursework & practical assessments
As part of your material fees you will receive:

- Stationery Kit
University or specialist Music schools. You will be prepared for progression into the Industry and will create portfolios of work to showcase. Sound design or engineering & production.
