This course provides two years of stimulating and dynamic training which will enable students to pursue a professional career in the highly demanding and constantly evolving world of Performing Arts. Our team of dedicated staff recognises each individual’s needs,
Mandatory (core) units:
- Performance Workshop
- Performing Arts Business
- The Historical Context of Performance
- Rehearsing for Performance
- Performing to an Audience
- Musical Theatre Performance
Optional Units include:
- Auditions for Actors
- Principles of Acting
- Singing Skills for Actors and Dancers
- Dance Performance
- Arts in the Community
At least 5 GCSE’s at grade A* - C, preferably including English and successful audition
This course provides a springboard to a university degree, foundation degree or to a leading drama school.
The Performing Arts industry offers many work opportunities in performance, theatre staff, funding organisations, production companies and arts administration.
