Psychology GCSE at Grŵp Llandrillo Menai

Course description

This course is aimed at students wishing to commence the study of Psychology, and who would like to gain a GCSE qualification. It provides a sound basis for progression to AS Psychology. It is suitable for students with an interest in studying Psychology, either for pleasure or work-related training.

Course content

The course is available through an evening programme. The classes will run 6.30-8.30pm on one evening per week throughout the College year. Homework will be an important part of the course.

Entry requirements

An interest in studying Psychology to gain a formal qualification.

All places are subject to satisfactory interview.


An external examination in June and a piece of coursework (worth 20% of the final grade) which will be submitted in April.

Depending on the campus, students may be able to access elements of the programme in both English and Welsh through some programme learning materials being made available bilingually. Details will be provided to you at interview.
