Course description

Providing high quality, person centred care is essential to the clients wellbeing. This can only be achieved and maintained by dedicated, well trained carers and managers.

The Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3 has been created with tailored pathways designed to enhance the learner’s existing core skills, whilst maximising the benefits to the individual, the organisation and the client.

- End of Life care
- Sensory impairment
- Mental health
- Learning disabilities
- Brokerage support
- Learning Disabilities

The course can be offered at a time and place to suit the needs of both the employee and their employer, with the course being tailored to fit the needs of both the learner and the business through the selection of appropriate optional units.


Suitable for anyone engaged in providing person centred care services. Performance will be assessed on site by qualified assessors covering the 9 mandatory fields in Group A and the remainder of the units from groups B and C.

To achieve the Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3, learners must achieve a minimum of 58 credits, with 28 credits coming from the mandatory units and the remaining 30 credits being achieved by completing credits from optional Group B and Group C.
