Course description

The course demands a high level of commitment from students and revolves around group work. Pupils choosing this course will be expected to be highly motivated and extremely creative. This course requires a high degree of independent learning and students should be well organised, showing initiative, commitment to learning and self improvement.

Course content

This is a vibrant and energetic course that enables students to explore a variety of theatrical techniques and genres and become familiar with contrasting styles of leading practitioners. The course provides opportunities to work with professional actors and theatre companies. Further to this there will be opportunities to perform in a range of public performances. In addition you will watch a variety of live theatre productions to enhance your understanding and your approaches to the subject.

Future opportunities

This course can lead to a large range of career opportunities, from theatre and television and other opportunities including marketing, media, teaching and youth work. You can further your study of Performing Arts and Drama at many universities, specialist colleges and drama schools.
