Fashion and Clothing BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at South Downs College

Course description

This course is for those wanting to learn more about the exciting and fast taced fashion and textiles industry.

You will gain a real insight into the design process and experience first-hand what it is like to be a fashion designer developing everything from the fabric to making the finished garment.

You will be involved in exhibiting your work in a live fashion show, casting models and generating ideas for styling such as hair, make-up and accessories.


Entry requirements

Entry requirements E" A minimum of five GCSEs at grade C or above including English and an Art based subject or a BTEC Level 2 Diploma at Merit grade or above.

Future opportunities

On successful completion of this course you may wish to proceed to the BTEC Level 3/4 Foundation Diploma in Art and Design. Alternatively, you may wish to progress to university to continue to develop your fashion talents, or to seek employment or an Apprenticeship in this competitive industry.
