Course description

This Apprenticeship is about playing an important support role within a creative or jewellery business.

Holts Academy have worked with thousands of start ups, micro businesses and long establshed business of all types and sizes since we were founded in 1999. Many of these businesses suffer from the same problem; they are small and in need of growth but they either cannot find or cannot yet fund the full staffing operations they need to be more successful. The Academy have been offering support and training to these businesses for years and we are now hugely exicted to extend this support, and our Apprenticeship programems to include Business & Administration.

Course content

As a business and administration apprentice, your exact duties will depend on your employer. It’s likely that you’ll be working with a member of staff to handle various tasks. You may be typing up documents, putting financial information together in spreadsheets, sending the daily post, maintaining and updating the compnay website, placing and collecting orders for precious materials like silver and gold, answering the telephone and generaly makign sure business operations run more smoothly. This sort of work requires a strong sense of responsibility, accuracy and attention to detail.

 
One of the great things about business and administration is that you can work almost anywhere. With your transferable skills and your proven track record you are also at an excellent starting point to move into management once you have more experience.
 
The programme is comptely free of charge to study and The Academy will carefully match you to an employer as well as providing all the support that you will need. You will gain your qualification (Level 2 Business Administration) and real life skills whilst earning a wage.
