BTEC Travel & Tourism (Maricourt) at Deyes High School
Travel and Tourism is still the major growth industry in the UK and there are numerous employment pathways. It is a subject that you probably have not studied before and the method of study appeals to a wide range of students. This qualification is designed to enable candidates to enter employment at operative or trainee level within a wide range of travel and tourism environments. Such candidates would normally enter employment through a work-related training programme.

Minimum grade C at GCSE in English Language. General entry requirements for Sixth Form.
100% coursework. You will produce a portfolio assignment for each unit using a variety of presentation techniques which is internally assessed and externally moderated.
Students who completed this course in the past have embarked on various careers: employment at a travel agent, work as a tour representative with Thomas Cook, Management trainees course at local hotel, joined Merseyside Police, joined London Fire Brigade, gone to various universities to study a diverse range of subjects including Women’s Studies, Travel Management, International Travel Management, Business Management, Accountancy and primary school teaching,
