For the fourth successive year St Aloysius is the highest achieving secondary school in Islington. Last year 75% of students that sat their GCSEs achieved 5 A*-C grades including English and Maths.

St Aloysius is a school of tradition, having served the local Catholic community since 1879. We are a caring Christian community offering our students a high quality education in a disciplined but caring environment.

We aim to treat students as individuals and to bring out the best in each student. This includes achievement to the best of their potential, but more particularly their personal development so that they can play a full and positive role in our local community and society in general. The school believes that education is essentially a partnership between parents and teachers and we actively seek to practise this.

St Aloysius is a specialist Maths and Computing College and we have 250 computers available for student use and we firmly believe that the proper use of information technology can greatly assist our students' learning.

We were delighted to be part of the Islington phase one Building Schools for the Future programme which has given us a new school building appropriate to the needs of the 21st century. We are continually updating facilities; as well as our own thirteen acres playing fields just ten minutes' walk away, we have a brand new sports pavilion and a new music block.
