Course description

The Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology can help you gain the skills and knowledge you need to work in the Electrotechnical industry.

It is ideal for anyone interested in a career in the Electrotechnical Industry.

You’ll learn about underlying principles of electrotechnology, Health & Safety, and effective working practices.

You’ll also gain skills and knowledge in a specialist area, such as electrical maintenance, installing instrumentation or highways electrical systems.

Entry requirements

  • Level 1 BSE, or GCSE’s Grade C or above in Maths, English and Science.
  • You may be working in the Industry already, but you do not need a work placement to undertake the qualification.

Future opportunities

On completion of the course you will have the underlying knowledge to progress onto an Electrotechnical NVQ or Level 3 qualification.
