Bricklaying Level 1 Diploma at Amersham and Wycombe College

Course description

This programme is designed to prepare people to enter the industry in their chosen craft and will enable the learners to gain an insight into basic bricklaying techniques and skills.

 

Course content

You will learn how to :
Improve your Maths & English skills
Work safely within the construction Industry
Carrying out blocklaying activities
Carrying out bricklaying activities
Carrying out cavity walling activities
Contribute to setting out and building of masonry structures up to damp proof course

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Assessment

The qualification will be achieved by:
A written and practical assessment
Completion of a portfolio of work
Synoptic practical assignment set by City & Guilds
Online test
Attendance rate min 90%

 

Financial information

Learners will have to provide their own safety footwear and stationery (folders etc) equipment.

 

Future opportunities

Successful completion of the programme will lead onto the Diploma Level 2 Bricklaying.
