Mathematics GCSE (Resit) at Harlington Upper School
Pupils should take this course if they wish to improve their GCSE exam result, with an overall aim of gaining a grade 4.
Exam entry is either in November or the following June. Assessment is by written exam papers only. There are 3 written exam papers, each lasting 1 hour 30 minutes. 1 paper is non calculator, calculators are permitted in the remaining 2.
This GCSE is a needs driven course depending on the strengths and weaknesses of those taking the re-sit exam. Information is collected from the exam board and the curriculum content is devised each year. As a result the topics taught and learning strategies are tailored each year to the needs of the students.
