Construction Building - Site Carpentry Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship at Wiltshire College

Course description

The construction industry is one of the largest and broadest to work in, employing around 7% of the UKs workforce, and there is always a demand for skilled professionals, whether that's developing hospitals or housing estates.

Carpenters and Joiners need to have a good eye for detail, strong maths skills and the ability to follow instructions and technical drawings.

Course content

You will learn the theoretical knowledge required to succeed in the industry, the practical skills to produce work to a high standard, and an understanding of health and safety, materials and sustainability.

Your employer will teach you the skills you need however you may be required to attend Wiltshire College to complete your functional skills in Maths and English depending on prior qualifications you hold in these subjects.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements, however all apprentices must complete English and Maths assessments before starting, as well as a Construction Skills Learning Exercise.
