Advanced Apprenticeship in Childcare at Interserve Learning & Employment Birmingham
This is a vocational, work-based course which allows you to earn while you learn. It is ideal if you want to gain valuable work experience and training within a childcare environment and gain a nationally recognised qualification.
The Childcare Apprenticeship is made up of three key elements
A National Vocational Qualification (NVQ), a Technical Certificate and Key Skills.
The course content covers the following subject areas:
Contribute to positive relationships
Paediatric emergency first aid
Support childrens development
Help to keep children safe.
An NVQ2 or equivalent in Childcare is usually required to progress onto the advanced apprenticeship unless you can demonstrate a high level of childcare experience. It is essential that you can demonstrate the ability to achieve Level2 Application of Number and Communications as this is a compulsory part of the framework. GCSEgrades A-Cin Maths and English Language or equivalent are advantageous as evidence of this will exempt you from sitting the key skills tests.
This is a full-time, permanent work-based Apprenticeship in Childcare. You enjoy on-the-job training towards nationally recognised qualifications at Levels 2 and 3, guided by our professional assessors who provide one-to-one support and advice throughout your programme.
This programme is fully funded by the government providing you are employed as an apprentice and working a minimum of 30 hours per week.
After completing your advanced apprenticeship, you may wish to undertake a Higher Apprenticeship or Nursery Management course.
You will be given a maximum of 15 months to complete this programme.
