Delightful Hospitality Apprenticeships at Interserve Learning & Employment Leicester

Course description

If you want a job beyond the 9 to 5, where you dream up ways to make someone's day, travel the world, and work with amazing people, then hospitality is for you.

Whether it is working in a hotel, bar, pub, restaurant or kitchen, the best career route, especially for young people, is to start your journey with a Hospitality Apprenticeship.

esg is a leading Apprenticeship provider and we have some really delightful vacancies available NOW across the country for people to work in various roles including receptionist, waiter, waitress, desk clerk, bar assistant, concierge and more. No matter where you start, the world is your oyster, who knows where your dreams will take you?

Apprenticeships are full time jobs with training towards industry recognised vocational qualifications so you will learn how to do the job as you actually do it. You will be employed from day one and receive a real wage, so there's no need to get into debt by going to college because you are getting paid to study.

Apprenticeship features

The apprenticeship is available at Intermediate and Advanced levels depending on your age and ability, and includes an NVQ certificate or diploma in hospitality, as well as essential qualifications in maths and English to support your ongoing development. You will be guided by our professional assessors every step of the way who provide one-to-one support and guidance throughout your Apprenticeship.

What skills will I learn?

What you study will vary depending on your job role and responsibilities, for example if you are working in a front of house role it will require a focus on customer service and admin skills. Here are some typical examples:

  • Customer service skills
  • Table and bar service
  • Reception and office duties
  • Preparing and presenting a menu
  • Food safety
  • Cleaning and preparing guest rooms
  • Working effectively as part of a hospitality team

Where can it lead?

With an Apprenticeship you can progress onto advanced, higher or even degree level training. As you move up you gain more experience and responsibility and many people naturally become team leaders and managers.
