Course description

This Apprenticeship concerns planning, scheduling and routing goods that are transported overland.You will be working in an administrative role in a transport office of a logistics company.

Course content

The Apprenticeship is made up of the following elements: -Level 2 Certificate in Traffic Office-Level 1 Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT-Employment Rights & Responsibilities in the Logistics Sector -Personal Learning & Thinking Skills in Traffic Office Examples of units you may cover include:Develop productive working relationships with colleagues in logistics operations• Release vehicles for daily tasks• Identify suitable collection or delivery points• Routing and scheduling of loads• Contribute to the provision of customer service in logistics operations• Post journey reports and checks• Monitor vehicle movements• Make an effective contribution to a business in the logistics sector• Health, safety and security at work

Entry requirements

To progress onto a Level 2 Apprenticeship you will need up to five GCSEs grade D-G, including a grade D in English and Maths*.

In order to start an Apprenticeship, you will need to be employed or find an employer who is recruiting an Apprentice.
