Trowel Occupations Intermediate Apprenticeship Level 2 at PETROC

Course description

An Apprenticeship in Trowel Occupations will allow the student to work towards the Construction Diploma Level 2 and NVQ Level 2 in Trowel Occupations. To qualify, the candidate will need to be working within the construction industry with an employer carrying out the relevant work experience.

Course content

There are college and work based practical assessments. Study mode is either one day or two days - dependant on any prior experience in the field.


Entry requirements

Initial assessment result at Level 1, or GCSE grade C in Maths and English, or Level 1 course in Trowel Occupations.


You will receive support and 12 weekly reviews with your Placement Officer and regular NVQ assessment in the workplace. There is a theory test at the end of each unit as well as an overall end of year online test.

Future opportunities

On completion, candidates may progress onto Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship or another Level 3 qualification within the Architecture and Construction field.

Further information

The course will be delivered at the Petroc Brannams Campus, in Barnstaple. Practical sessions will be taught in our fully equipped trowel occupations workshop.
