Spanish - A-Level at St Aidan's Catholic Academy

Course description

As an Advanced level Spanish student, you will build on and develop the language skills essential
to GCSE - speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will study more varied topics at a more
mature level, learning to communicate more confidently and effectively and to use a wider range of
vocabulary and grammatical structures; this will enable you to express more complex ideas in
more accurate Spanish. You will read, listen to and comment on authentic printed and broadcast
Spanish, including material from magazines and newspapers, video, radio and internet. By the
end of this course you will have a good understanding of spoken and written Spanish, be able to
hold relatively fluent conversations and write competently on a wide range of subjects.
