Site Carpentry City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma at North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College

Course description

This qualification is aimed at learners aged 16 and above who are employed or want to work in the construction industry and specialise in site carpentry.

Course content

The Level 3 Site Carpentry Diploma allows you to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression in Site Carpentry.It covers the following skills: •Carry out first fix operations•Carry out second fixing operations•Carry out first fix roofing and stairs •Carry out second fixing double doors and mouldings •Set up and use fixed and transportable machinery

Entry requirements

It is recommended that learners study the level 1 & 2 diplomas before progression onto level 3, however there are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, age and industrial experience can be taken into consideration upon application for the course.Learners will also require a good level of Mathematics and English All learners will be required to complete an initial diagnostic assessment and supply proof of any other previous qualifications prior to enrolling on the course

Assessment

Assessment is via completion of coursework and portfolio throughout the year, there are also 4 theoretical tests as part of the qualification

Financial information

Learners will need to provide their own stationery, PPE and recomended books.

We offer a bursary that students can apply for help with costs that are associated with a course. This could be help with the cost of travel, books, materials, equipment, uniforms, childcare and examination and registration fees.
