Course aims and content:
Mathematics is a core skill that is required for many aspects of life. The aim of the GCSE course is to provide students with knowledge, understanding and skills in all aspects of Mathematics (Number, Algebra, Geometry and Statistics) and to be able to apply them successfully.
Assessment methods: examination. 2 papers, one calculator and one non-calculator.
Progression and careers:
Gaining a C grade GCSE Mathematics qualification allows students to maximise the opportunities that are available to them when they leave school whether in the workplace or in Further Education.
