Sport at Outwood Academy Ripon

Course description

The Level 3 course offered by the PE Department provides tremendous flexibility for any student considering a career in Sport or wishing to study Sport at University. All elements will be delivered by experienced PE staff who have an enviable reputation for producing some of the best results in Outwood Academy Ripon.

Certificate (1GCE AS)
4 Units including Anatomy and Physiology, Physiology of Fitness, Fitness Testing and Assessing Risk.

Subsidiary Diploma (1GCE A Level)
7 Units : the above plus Practical Team Sport, Sports Leadership and Instructing Physical Activity.

Diploma (2 GCE A Levels)
13 Units: the above plus Sports Coaching, Practical Individual Sports, Fitness Training, Sport Massage, Sport Development and Sport Injuries.

Entry requirements

100% pass rate
One unit of work per term.
