Course description

This qualification is designed to help you build the knowledge and skills needed when working with children and young people from birth to 19 years. It gives you a professional qualification to work under supervision in a range of job roles in a children’s settings e.g. children’s centres, day nurseries and schools. You will need to be a reliable, enthusiastic person with sensitivity to the needs of children. You should enjoy working with children and be willing to work hard.

Entry requirements

Four or more GCSEs at grade 9-3 (A*-D) including English or a pass at Level 1 and a pass in functional skills.
